Top 5 tips to make your hair grow faster
Hi guys,
Some of you asked how I transform my hair from being unhealthy and thin, to grow long and thick within just one year. About 5 months ago I shared my tips in this post “How to make your hair grow faster and thicker”. Few things have changed in my haircare routine since then that are worth an updated post. Let's get started!
1- I started making my own shampoo. The basic recipe is very simple. Half Dr. Bronner's Pure Castile Soap (I get the unscented one) and half good oil of your choice like almond, jojoba, or olive oil. If you feel it’s too oily for you add more soap and less oil.
As you know me guys, I like to add extra stuff to make it even better. For the half oil, I mix castor oil, almond or grapeseed oil, vitamin E, and few drops of essential oils like Rosemary, peppermint , or Chamomile. These oils are amazing for the hair. Here are two articles Essential Oils for Hair and here explain in details.
2- Since my shampoo is rich and doesn’t have any drying chemicals I don’t need conditioner. After shower I add few drops of any oils as a leave-in conditioner.
3- For the first 6 months of my hair journey, I completely stopped using hot tools. Now I use them only once in awhile with keeping the heat less than 350ºF along with a high quality heat protector.
4- I changed my Vitamins brand to Vitafusion and liked them a lot. Then I received a skin and hair supplements + collagen powder from Neocell to try and share my honest opinion on it.
It have been more than a month since I started using them. I really liked their Ceramides Skin Hydrator supplements. After three week I noticed my face is glowing and my skin looks good without wearing makeup. I’m not sure if it does that by itself or because I was taking the collagen powder along with it. I’ll purchase this product alone and will let you know if it works on it’s own.For the hair supplements, I didn’t see a big of a difference. So I stopped using Neocell one and went went back to Vitafusion.
5- Hair mask weekly. I updated the recipe of the my hair mask too.
Recipe:one egg (protein), a tablespoon of almond oil, two tablespoons of castor oil, and few drops of vitamin E, and few drops of Neem seed oil. Neem seed is amazing for the hair but smells SO bad, so I use it in my mask once a month and mix few drops of grapefruit and peppermint essential oils to help with the smell.
Note: If you can’t take the bad smell, take off the neem seed oil or replace it with amla oil.
Then I mix everything and put it on my hair for at least 5 to 6 hours, then wash it off with shampoo.
Summery: Make your own shampoo and conditioner (if need it) or find a brand with simple and high quality ingredients.Take your vitamins, use hair mask weekly, reduce the use of hot tools as much as possible. And that is it. I can promise you guys you’ll have an amazing hair if you follow these steps regimentally.
Love you :)
